Warriorship refers to realizing the power, dignity, and wakefulness that is inherent in all of us as human beings.
–Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
When we connect with the energy of Gesar, the legendary Tibetan warrior, we can awaken basic human confidence and our natural, direct connection to our world, cheer up beyond our self-conscious struggles, and work with the challenging energies of the times we are living in.
This one-day retreat will explore the text and offering practice Ocean of the Play of Enlightened Activity: A Daily Offering to Warrior Gesar written by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1958 before he escaped from Tibet.
Trungpa Rinpopche wrote this text at a time when the Chinese had already begun invading and destroying the culture of Tibet. It is a short and potent offering practice–as relevant now as it was then. As practitioners, we can offer our self-deception and draw on the power of this practice to rouse all the help we need to work with the fear, speed, and aggression that are running rampant in the sacred world we live in.
